1. Introduction
Welcome to LaterCue ("we," "us," or "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").
2. Data We Collect
We collect and process the following categories of information:
- Account Data: Email address and authentication credentials provided via Sign in with Apple, email/password registration, or Google Sign-In. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive only the information you choose to share (name and email, which may be a private relay address).
- Business Profile Data: Business descriptions, tools and skills, goals, and industry categories you provide to customize your experience.
- Content Data: URLs, text, images, and metadata you share with the app via the iOS Share Sheet, bookmark imports, or direct input.
- Task Data: AI-generated tasks, priorities, time estimates, and your interactions with them (approvals, completions, deletions).
- Subscription Data: Subscription status and purchase history, managed through Apple's App Store and processed by RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
- Usage and Analytics Data: App usage patterns, feature interactions, crash reports, and device information collected through Firebase Analytics and Amplitude. This data is used to improve app stability and user experience.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, app version, and unique device identifiers for push notification delivery.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide and improve the Service:
- Account Management: Creating, authenticating, and maintaining your account.
- AI Task Extraction: Analyzing shared content against your business profile to generate personalized, actionable tasks. This involves sending URL content to third-party AI services (see Section 5).
- Content Scraping: Fetching and converting web page content from URLs you share so our AI can analyze it.
- Push Notifications: Sending you updates about new tasks, reminders, and account activity.
- Integrations: Exporting your tasks to third-party services you connect (e.g., Notion), using OAuth tokens you authorize.
- Analytics and Improvement: Understanding usage patterns to fix bugs, improve features, and enhance performance.
- Subscription Management: Managing your subscription tier and enforcing feature limits.
4. Tracking and Advertising
LaterCue uses analytics tools to understand how the app is used. Before any tracking occurs, we request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You can change your tracking preference at any time in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking.
We use anonymous, aggregated analytics data to improve the app. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or other third parties.
5. Third-Party Services
To provide the Service, we share data with the following third-party providers:
- Google Gemini (AI Analysis): Web page content from URLs you share is sent to Google's Gemini API for task extraction. Google's privacy policy governs their processing of this data.
- Firecrawl (Content Scraping): URLs you share are sent to Firecrawl to fetch and convert web page content into a format our AI can analyze.
- Firebase / Google Cloud Platform: Authentication, database storage (Firestore), cloud functions, and analytics are hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure.
- RevenueCat: Subscription and purchase management. RevenueCat processes transaction data from the App Store to manage your subscription status.
- Amplitude: Product analytics to understand feature usage and improve the app experience.
- Notion (Optional): If you connect Notion, we use your authorized OAuth token to export tasks to your Notion workspace. We only access databases you explicitly select.
Each third-party service processes data according to their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
6. Data Storage and Transfers
Your data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) servers located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Specifically:
- Account and Profile Data: Retained until you delete your account.
- Tasks and Inbound Links: Retained until you delete them individually or delete your account.
- Analytics Data: Aggregated analytics data is retained for up to 14 months.
When you delete your account, all associated personal data (profile, tasks, inbound links, and integration tokens) is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest via Google Cloud Platform.
- Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in with Apple, email/password, and Google.
- Firestore security rules ensuring strict per-user data isolation.
- OAuth 2.0 for third-party integrations (Notion).
No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
